The BraTS-MEN-RT dataset is a comprehensive, multi-institutional collection of 3D post-contrast T1-weighted MRI scans specifically designed to improve radiotherapy planning for meningiomas. It contains 570 clinical cases from seven medical centers across the United States and the United Kingdom, featuring both intact and postoperative tumors. Unlike previous datasets, these images maintain their native resolution and include extracranial anatomy to better reflect real-world clinical conditions. Expert researchers provided standardized segmentations of gross tumor volumes to help train automated machine learning models. This public resource aims to reduce human error and increase efficiency in the labor-intensive process of radiation target delineation. By fostering the development of AI-driven tools, the project seeks to ultimately improve consistency and patient outcomes in cancer treatment.
