This 2017 ISMRM conference abstract describes a platform that synchronizes radiologists’ gaze and viewer interactions with multiparametric prostate MRI, enabling visual-attention maps for image-perception research.
Summary
The authors describe software and an eye-tracking setup for studying radiologists’ visual search in multiparametric prostate MRI. The platform synchronized gaze information with MRI sequences and recorded interactions with a DICOM viewer, including scrolling, clicking, slice selection, window and level adjustments, and tumor measurements. The work reports creating visual-attention maps for T2-weighted, diffusion-weighted, apparent diffusion coefficient, and dynamic contrast-enhanced images. It presents a research platform, not evidence of diagnostic performance or clinical readiness. Read the conference abstract.
